Twitter suspends FO spokesperson's personal account on India's complaint

Summary Dr Faisal account was suspended after some of his tweets were reported to Twitter by Indian govt.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Twitter on Tuesday suspended the personal account of Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal on Indian complaint, Dunya News reported.

Sources said that personal Twitter account (@DrMFaisal) of Dr Muhammad Faisal, the chief spokesperson of Foreign Office has been suspended for keeping his social media followers updated regarding Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and ICJ hearing on Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Dr Muhammad Faisal account was suspended after some of his tweets were reported to Twitter by the Indian government. Dr Faisal shared on it the details of the Kulbhushan Jadhav case currently being heard by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The development comes while the FO spokesperson was present in The Hague, where the International Court of Justice is hearing the case of self-confessed RAW agent Commander Jadhav, who was convicted of espionage by a Pakistani military court and sentenced to death in April 2017.
